Privacy notice
Assessment involves personal information, including information about learning, education and sometimes health. I only collect what I need to provide the service and prepare the report.
What I collect
- Contact and identifying information needed to arrange the service.
- Relevant educational, occupational and developmental background.
- Assessment Profile responses, supporting documents and assessment results.
- Health or other special-category information where it is relevant and you choose to provide it.
Why I use it
I use this information to arrange and carry out your assessment, understand the relevant background, prepare the report, communicate with you and meet professional, legal and accounting obligations.
Who information is shared with
Your assessment information and report are confidential. I do not routinely send your report to a school, university, employer or another professional without the appropriate consent. You choose who you share your copy with, unless there is a legal or safeguarding reason that requires a different action.
How long I keep information
- Final assessment reports are retained for at least five years or until the assessed person is 18, whichever is longer, in line with the professional retention requirement that applies to my practice.
- Working assessment information, test results and supporting material are normally deleted around six months after the report has been signed off, once there has been reasonable time for questions or corrections.
- Financial records may need to be retained for the period required by law.

UK data-protection law gives you rights over your personal information, subject to legal and professional retention requirements. You can contact me to ask about the information I hold, request correction, or raise a privacy concern.
