1. Professional Standards
Assessments and specialist tuition provided through Dyslexia Assessments UK are conducted by Elizabeth Downing, an Assessment Practising Certificate (APC) holder working strictly in accordance with current guidance published by the SpLD Assessment Standards Committee (SASC).
2. Diagnostic Reports & Recognition
Full diagnostic assessment reports produced under APC certification are valid for life and recognised by UK examination awarding bodies (JCQ), universities, Disabled Students’ Allowance (DSA) Needs Assessors, and employers. Pre-diagnostic screenings provide profile indications only and do not constitute formal diagnostic evidence.
3. Booking, Cancellation & Fees
Assessment dates are confirmed upon receipt of completed pre-assessment questionnaires and agreed deposit. Notice of cancellation must be provided at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled appointment to allow rescheduling without administrative penalty.
4. Report Delivery Timeline
Following completion of the one-to-one diagnostic session, comprehensive written SASC-aligned diagnostic reports are typically completed and delivered within 10 to 14 working days, accompanied by follow-up clarification support.
